Yes, it does work for Variable Subscriptions. However, we did just release an update (version 1.1.0) that addresses some issues you might have been experiencing with updating variable subscriptions.
Please update to version 1.1.0. After, you should see a checkbox under each variation that you’ll toggle to update subscriptions for that variation.
