The checkbox does not stay checked. Instead, it’s basically just a flag that tells the plugin you’ve updated subscription terms and want to apply them to existing subscriptions. Once you check that box and save the product, it will schedule a background job to update all the subscriptions with the new details. This can take some time for the subscriptions to update.
